The Board of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is a council made up of Alumni of the Politecnico di Milano that now have key roles in the manufacturing and business environment. The Board aims at creating a stronger relationship between the Department and businesses world through a challenging and stimulating debate. A further goal is the adoption of new strategies in the research area and the cooperation with the manufacturers.
At present, he is Chairman and CEO at KBRSI (Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Italia). Formerly he was Senior Director at Bombardier Transportation, Board Member for sales department in Austria, Sweden and the USA at Daimler Chrysler Transportation and Project Manager at ABB. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 at the Politecnico di Milano. In the same year he attended the Naval Academy in Livorno.
At present, he is CEO at GE Capital Interbanca Spa. Formerly he was Managing Director at Interbanca, and Corporate and Investment Banking Manager at ABN AMRO in Italy. After his first working experiences at the Politecnico di Milano and at Chase Manhattan Bank (now J.P. Morgan), he worked in London for the Investment Banking department of Credit Suisse First Boston. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1977 at the Politecnico di Milano, where he also attended a Master in Product Engineering.
At present, she is CEO and Board Member at Sicme Motori, President at ASSIDAI and Board Member at Praesidium. Formerly she was CEO at CARTOMAC, General Manager at Salmoiraghi Automatic Handling and head of the R&D area at EPTA Group. She graduated in Mechanical Enginerring in 1983 at the Politecnico di Milano.
For many years he was CEO at Unicredit Business Integrated Solutions and Executive Vice-President at Unicredit Group. Formerly, at Unicredit, he also was coordinator of ICT activities and Chief Sourcing Officer. Also, he was CEO at iFaber Spa and Speed Tecnologie – KPMG. He graduated in Mechanical Enginerring in 1987 at the Politecnico di Milano and attended the Harvard Business School in 2007.
At present, she is Open Innovator Director at Electrolux Group. Formerly, she was Product Maintenance Manager and FreeStanding Platform Manager at Electrolux Group. Also, she was Mechanical Structure Technology Leader and Project Leader at Whirlpool. She started working as a mechanical engineer at Officine Galileo inAlenia Difesa. She graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 at the Politecnico di Milano an attended an Executive Master in Technologies and Innovation Management at Bologna Business School.
At present, he is Head of the Aero-structure Division at Finmeccanica and Chief Operating Officer at SELEXES. Formerly he was Senior Vice President Production and CEO at AgustaWestland Spa, CEO at Voith Turbo GMBH and Technical Director at Streparava Spa. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1981 at the Politecnico di Milano.
At present, he is Managing Director at Add-For Spa and Technical Director at Danisi Engineering. Formerly, he worked as head of the GT Track Car Development division in Ferrari. In 2004 he became Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica Italiana. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 at the Politecnico di Milano.
At present, he is co-founder of IOTEAM Srl, a startup dedicated to HW/FW desing for internet of things, and founder of PMTSWEB, more oriented to web solutions. He has been Chairman of the Board of Selene BS (now A2A Smartcity), Director of Information & Communication Tchnology of A2A Group, leader of research & innovation smart grid, smart city area, C.I.O. of Edison Group and previously in IBM. He graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1981 at the Politecnico di Milano.
Presently, he is Head of the European Division of Yara International, after having had the same role in North America. Formerly he acted as Chairman of Assofertilizzanti. He also worked with Owens Corning, Dow and Pirelli. He serves or did serve in the Board of chemical producers and distributors in the Americas, Europe and Africa. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 at the Politecnico di Milano.
