DIAMOND Kicks Off Across Europe to Rethink Infrastructure and Artwork Monitoring

The DIAMOND project (Decentralized critical Infrastructure Asset Monitoring and coNDition assessment), a newly launched Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network, brings together 16 PhD candidates across Europe to shape the next generation of smart sensing and monitoring technologies.

At the core of DIAMOND is a new paradigm for infrastructure monitoring: decentralized data acquisition networks, where edge sensing and sensor-level intelligence play a central role. The project combines cutting-edge fundamental research with application-driven developments, addressing real-world challenges in the monitoring of critical infrastructure and valuable assets.

DIAMOND unites a network of leading academic and industrial partners from across Europe, fostering a highly interdisciplinary and international research environment.

Politecnico di Milano (Polimi) will host two PhD positions, both including secondments at partner institutions. One position will be directly managed by Polimi, while the second -developed in close coordination with Polimi -will be carried out within a high-tech industrial partner, focusing on artwork motion and transportation.

Further information on the project and the required profiles is available on LinkedIn or in the attached file.
