On June 29, 2026, Physis PEB unveiled its new catamaran prototype during the RollOut held in Aula Magna Carassa e Dadda at Politecnico di Milano.
The boat will race in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2026, scheduled from 8 to 11 July in Monte Carlo. PB526 marks a major step forward in the team’s technical development: it is the first self-supporting monocoque frame designed and built by Physis PEB, featuring an integrated motor tower.
Behind the prototype is an intense process of design, engineering and innovation, developed by a student team working alongside sponsors, partners and guests who joined the RollOut and supported this new milestone.
Physis PEB is the Politecnico di Milano student team affiliated with the Department of Energy and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Its work brings together sustainable mobility, electric propulsion and hands-on engineering in an international competitive environment.
