Current open positions the 5^th additional Doctoral call for applying to the XXXIX cycle is now open – DEADLINE March 15^th 2024, 2:00 p.m. (Italian time).
The start of the activities is foreseen for May 1^st, 2024.

  • Use of deep learning algorithms and digital twins in surrogate modelling and signal processing for health and usage monitoring of complex engineering systems (Francesco Cadini, Marco Giglio)
• Manufacturing and production systems
  • GreenAM: techno-economical comparison and sustainable life cycle assessment in additive manufacturing (Bianca Maria Colosimo)
  • Sustainable remanufacturing of automotive components (Marcello Colledani); a non-financed position is also associated with this research topic.
  • Additive manufacturing for Mechatronics (Bianca Maria Colosimo)
  • Additive Manufacturing in Space Using In-Situ Resources (Bianca Maria Colosimo)
  • Defect-free robotic laser welding with novel temporal and spatial laser beam shaping approaches (Barbara Previtali)
• Materials
  • Residual life assessment of alloys serviced at high temperatures (Elisabetta Gariboldi), financed by INAIL
  • Thermal and mechanical response of metallic composites for thermal energy storage and management (Elisabetta Gariboldi)
