The Board of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is a council made up of Alumni of the Politecnico di Milano that now have key roles in the manufacturing and business environment. The Board aims at creating a stronger relationship between the Department and businesses world through a challenging and stimulating debate. A further goal is the adoption of new strategies in the research area and the cooperation with the manufacturers.
At present, he is CEO at Microelettrica Scientifica SpA and President at KBRSI (Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Italia). Formerly he was Senior Director at Bombardier Transportation, Board Member for sales department in Austria, Sweden and the USA at Daimler Chrysler Transportation and Project Manager at ABB. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 at Politecnico di Milano. In the same year he attended the Naval Academy in Livorno.
At present he is a real estate entrepreneur, member of the Board of Directors at Natuzzi SpA, S3K SpA and Power Venture SpA. Former CEO and General Director of GE Capital Interbanca Spa and Managing Director at Interbanca, and Corporate and Investment Banking Manager at ABN AMRO in Italy. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1977 at Politecnico di Milano, where he also attended a Master at MIP School of Management.
At present, she is CEO and Board Member at Sicme Motori, President at ASSIDAI and Board Member at Praesidium. Formerly she was CEO at CARTOMAC, General Manager at Salmoiraghi Automatic Handling and head of the R&D area at EPTA Group. She graduated in Mechanical Enginerring in 1983 at the Politecnico di Milano.
For many years he was CEO at Unicredit Business Integrated Solutions and Executive Vice-President at Unicredit Group. Formerly, at Unicredit, he also was coordinator of ICT activities and Chief Sourcing Officer. Also, he was CEO at iFaber Spa and Speed Tecnologie – KPMG. He graduated in Mechanical Enginerring in 1987 at the Politecnico di Milano and attended the Harvard Business School in 2007.
Managing Partner at GELLIFY, a platform for B2B innovation, covering the role of Head of Industry 4.0 Business Unit. Her professional experience started in Aerospace and then moved to Home Appliances, in Whirpool Corporation and Electrolux Group. Former Head of Electrolux Group’s Innovation Hub. Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Executive Master in Technologies & Innovation Management at Bologna Business School.
At present he is founder & CEO of RMS Srl, Top management Consulting. Previously he covered the position of division Managing Director at Leonardo aerostructures division (supplier of major structures for military & commercial Aircrafts), COO Selex ES (elettronic for Defence), Managing Director at Agustawestland Spa (helicopters), Managing Director at Voith Turbo (automotive front & drive axles) and Technical Director at Streparava Spa (automotive components). He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
At present, he is Managing Director at Add-For Spa and Technical Director at Danisi Engineering. Formerly, he worked as Head of Performance in Ferrari F1 and Head of the GT Track Car Development division in Ferrari. In 2004 he became Cavaliere al Merito of the Italian Republic. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 at Politecnico di Milano.
Since 2018 co-founder of NEGOCO Srl, owner of www.QUIGO.net, a platform for smartworking solutions. Previously was among the founders of of IOTEAM Srl, a startup dedicated to HW/FW design for internet of things, and founder of PMTSWEB, more oriented to web solutions. He has been Chairman of the Board of Selene BS (now A2A Smartcity), Director of Information & Communication Tchnology of A2A Group, leader of research & innovation smart grid, smart city area, C.I.O. of Edison Group and previously in IBM. He graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1981 at Politecnico di Milano.
At present, he is CEO at Snam Rete Gas where he has performed different roles since 1987. Formerly he was CEO at TMPC and Board Member at TAG GmbH, TENP GmbH, TTPC Ltd and Transitgas SA. He graduated in mechanical engineering in 1985 at the Politecnico di Milano.
Presently, he is Head of the European Division of Yara International, after having had the same role in North America. Formerly he acted as Chairman of Assofertilizzanti. He also worked with Owens Corning, Dow and Pirelli. He serves or did serve in the Board of chemical producers and distributors in the Americas, Europe and Africa. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 at the Politecnico di Milano.
Current CEO at Dianax Srl. Former CEO of Glomeria Therapeutics, vicepresident of Confindustria Medical Devices, President and CEO of Becton Dickinson and General Manager and member of the Board of Directors of Lorenz Biotech SpA. Andrea Zanella obtained his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1985.
