On March 18, 2026, at the Bovisa campus of the Politecnico di Milano, the POLIMI x MICS Festival brought together research, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing in a day rich in talks, discussions, and exchanges. Presentations, projects, and moments of dialogue between academia and industry highlighted the results achieved over three years of activity, while also opening up new perspectives for the future of Made in Italy.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering actively contributed, together with five other departments, to the activities of the MICS - Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile project, the largest project ever carried out to develop new models and solutions for a more digital, circular, and competitive manufacturing sector.
Among the key contributors was Prof. Bianca Maria Colosimo, Chair of the MICS Scientific and Technical Committee and coordinator of both the university-wide activities and the research activities of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, working alongside colleagues to develop new solutions for the future of Made in Italy.
