Composed of all faculty members of the Department and representatives as defined in the University Statute, it is convened by the Head of the Department. Its functions include approving amendments to the founding project, appointing professors, making proposals to the Board of Directors and Academic Senate, entering into contracts and agreements, and managing the Department's resources and safety measures.
Department Board
The Department Board assists the Head of the Department in managing the Department and prepares activities for the Department Council. It includes the Head of the Department, the Deputy Head, the Administrative Manager, and 6 to 10 members (both faculty and technical-administrative staff) selected by the Head and approved by the Department Council. Convened by the Head, the Board may receive delegations from the Department Council.

Scientific Board
The Scientific Board, coordinated by a Chairperson, is made up of the Head of the Department, the Deputy Head, the Head of each Unit and respectively one elected member. This board is responsible for drafting and proposing amendments to the scientific project, stimulating and monitoring research activities, allocating resources among research lines, reviewing scientific publications, and promoting the Strategic Leadership Plan.

Units

Each Research Line includes professors and researchers working on specific areas of research and education. Every Research Line is coordinated by a Head, who manages relationships with the Department's leadership and governing bodies.
