Two years from now, Milan will host the next edition of the Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference, Europe’s leading event for research and innovation in transport and mobility.
The mandate to organise TRA 2028 was officially handed over during the closing ceremony of TRA 2026 in Budapest, marking the beginning of the journey towards the Italian edition. The announcement took place in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Hungary, Scognamiglio Giuseppe, with contributions from Professors Gianpiero Mastinu and Pierluigi Coppola of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
TRA brings together researchers, industry, public institutions, policy makers and international stakeholders to share scientific results, technological solutions, mobility models and future-oriented visions for transport.
