Researcher
Giovanni Bianchi received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in April 2022, defending a thesis on the study of the underwater locomotion of rays and the design of a biomimetic robot inspired by them. Since 2022, he has been a Junior Researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on the study of aquatic animal propulsion and the development of bioinspired robots for underwater exploration, including a ray with flexible fins and an aquatic snake. Giovanni Bianchi is also involved in other research activities related to mechatronics and has contributed to teaching as a teaching assistant in the courses "Applied Mechanics," "Control and Actuating Devices for Mechanical Systems," and "Bioinspired Robotics.
