Huimin Zhao graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and has been working in the iDrive lab under the supervision of Prof.Giandomenico Caruso since master’s studies. Now pursuing her PhD, her research focuses on evaluating human behavior to integrate human-centered design thinking into product design and usability validation. Her previous work at iDrive Lab includes Human-Machine Interface design and evaluation, such as haptic-based control coordination for excavators and multi-modal HMI for shuttle buses. She has co-authored a conference paper on HMI for inclusive shared autonomous vehicles. During her undergraduate studies, she contributed to the structural design and vibration control of rice combine harvesters, co-authoring 2 papers and 3 patents.
