Researcher
Jacopo Marconi received his MSc in Mechatronics and Robotics from Politecnico di Milano in 2017, completing a thesis with Prof. Ruzzene (Georgia Tech). He earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2021, co-supervised by Profs. Braghin (PoliMi) and Tiso (ETH). Since April 2023, he has served as a Research Fellow (RTDa) at PoliMi’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in mechanics and dynamics. His research focuses on wave propagation in periodic structures, finite elements, nonlinear dynamics of flexible structures, and nonlinear reduced-order modeling. He currently collaborates with STM, developing numerical tools for the analysis of MEMS gyroscopes.
