Dr Cacace was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1989. She obtained her MSc degree in Management Engineeringin in 2015. She obtained the title of PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 with a thesis in the Additive Manufacturing field. In 2019, was a post-doc research fellow at the Manufacturing and Production Systems Research Line of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (RTDa). Her current research interests include Selective Laser Melting, image analysis for X-ray computed tomography and characterization of metal powders. Since 2016, She is teaching assistant of the Design and Analysis of Experiments course (Degree in Mechanical Engineering). She has effectively taken part in several national and international research projects as well as in industrial collaborations. She is a member of AITeM - Italian Manufacturing Technologies Association.
