Researcher
He obtained his Ph.D. degree cum laude in Mechanical Engineering in May 2025 from Politecnico di Milano, presenting a thesis entitled “Indirect Structural Health Monitoring applied to railway bridges.” Since October 2025, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher (RTDa). His research mainly focuses on the structural monitoring of railway bridges through both direct and onboard measurements. In addition, he deals with the study of train-track-structure dynamic interaction, train running safety, and railway signaling systems. During his Ph.D., from July 2022 to February 2023, he carried out a research period at the Structural Mechanics Laboratory of the Railway Technical Research Institute (RTRI) in Tokyo. He is currently a teaching assistant for the course of Mechanics of Vibrations, taught to BSc students in Mechanical Engineering, and for the course of Dynamics of Mechanical Systems, taught to MSc students in Automation Engineering. He is the author of several scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings.
