FISVal has studied and developed a model for an integrated and sustainable supply chain, where bidirectional digital information sharing between the various stakeholders involved enables significant improvements in production processes in terms of higher efficiency and product quality, as well as a more rational and therefore sustainable use of production resources. FISVal is an example of the implementation of the open and collaborative research and development model promoted by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and the Lombardy Region.

The FISVal project has also been awarded the "Lombardia Innovativa" recognition for 2021, which is granted to innovative models led by Lombard entrepreneurial excellence.
